Digital Steppaz Soundsystem Freiburg/D



To create a sound system vibe is part of the Digital Steppaz activity. Dubby Ranks (a member of

one of the oldest Dancehall Sounds from Freiburg) and Dr. Chalice started this project in the

summer of 2010. Selectah Easy T Jam from Ex-Esperanza Soundsystem and My T joined Digital

Steppaz early in the year 2011. In the year 2018 four new members from local Sounds called

Croncrete Garden and Fireburg Soundsystem joined the Digital Steppaz Team.

Up to date are 8 person runnin the Sound with some new Dj skills, Soundboys and Electronic Heads

which are on to solder e.g. their first own pre-amp.

In their work the bass and the offbeat built the musical foundation. They incorporate Reggae, Dub,

Dubstep, Steppas and many more styles into their DJ-Sets.

This crew is well equipped and organised because during many years they grew up with

organization and promotion of dances, festivals and networking in many projects since 1995.

Digital Steppaz operates with a 2 stack Soundsystem – so that the music can be presented

properly e.g. big dubstages on festivals can be powered up to 1500 visitors.

They played at countless events around the world for example: Dubchampions Festival in New

York City, Kingston Jamaica, places and festivals all over Europe up to a Mexican Tour of five

weeks. They discovered, recorded many artists in Kingston Jamaica, who nowadays are on tour in

Europe and America like I Bogle, Ishabell, Wildlife...

The following events: Bass & Offbeat, Dubclub Freiburg and the „Dubwohnzimmer Freiburg“ are

taking place in Freiburg and the members of Digital Steppaz are organizing it or partially working

with.

International artists like Clouds, RSD (Rob Smith), Von D, Dub 4, Soom T, Disrupt (Jahtari),

Mungo`s Hifi, Firehouse Sound, Stand High Patrol, Maffi, Solo Banton, Naram, El Fata, O.B.F.,

Shanti D, Speng Bond, Jah Screechy (Channel One), Mr Williamz, Peter Youthman, Heartical

Sound, Long Fingah a.m.m. performed live at their events in Freiburg or were on tour with us.
